sorry to write in again so soon. can you tell me who i should be talking to about this drug. as it appears to be have been used to pro long life. I am maybe the first of many who have taken it recomended by my oncologist for curable tonsil cancer and am here 18 months latter. The side affects have got worse and worse each month after finishing treatment. stomach pain, acid reflux, inflamation of my eyes, acne rossace, and now hair thinning and a very very sore red scalp.i have tried most medications including a course of steroids but nothing seems to calm the scalp. i am desperate to know if any one anywhere is having similar problems. my oncologist said he has not had anyone else with these side affects? i am 45 years old. This message has been edited. Hello Janis Unfortunately, (1) cetuximab is relatively new in the UK and hence there aren't many patients in the both the NHS or private sector, and (2) approval was for locally advanced cancer. So there aren't that many patients around. This recent article on side effects from cetuximab use sheds more light on this topic.
