I have smoked fruity tobacco(shisha) off and on for a few years now.
Somewhat recently, the morning after I smoke it the glands under my tongue swell for up to 30 minutes right after I wake up - most often when I try eating/drinking. I've noticed it has happened about half of the last 10 times I have smoked it so I am inclined to believe that the smoking is causing it. Anyone hear of this happening before and if it really is the smoking and what I should be concerned about? Thanks. |

Hi
Never mind what tobacco itself can do to you (cancers, vascular problems, et cetera), but hookah smoking brings with it a whole new bunch of risks. If you're sharing with people whose dental health is questionable, you could end up with any kind of disease they might have. Think of it as the tobacco equivalent of sharing hypodermic needles. If you're truly worried about the prospect of oral cancer, the best thing to do would be to quit shisha altogether. Howdilly doodilly, survivorinos! |
