I have had a sore throat for a few weeks, my GP gave me penicillin that hasn't done anything apart from take off the white covering on my tongue and replace it with very painful spots towards the back and middle - they burn when i eat, (not the big spots that shoould be there but more smaller white blistery type spots - about 10 - 20 of them).
I have a bad neckache and headache that I thought was with my sore throat, my sore throat has gone now but the head and neck ache are still there, this has been a coupls of weeks now. My mouth is very dry overnight and I keep having to wake up and drink every hour or so, my GP is currently testing me for diabetes type 2 (I am 33yrs old, a non smoker since January and weigh 13,5 stone) Is this anything i should be worried about? -please help |

Hi Millsbrown
Have you addressed these mouth problems with your GP? If your doc is only concerned about testing you for diabetes, perhaps you should see someone who will listen to you. Any time you have symptoms that last "a couple of weeks"--like your head and neck pain--you really should get them checked out as soon as you can. The dryness in your mouth could be unrelated (if you're a snorer, for example) but should still be addressed when you talk to your doctor. Please let us know how this turns out for you.
