Hi,

I have been taking "Amitriptyline" tablets now for allmost 2years. When I first started to take them I noticed small pimple like spots on the soft pallet and recently there as been more appear on the back of my throat.

Does anyone know what these are, when I feel them with my finger they feel like small raised spots.

Any help would be appreciated as they are driving me crazy wondering what they are, I have been to my doctor 2 years ago as when they first came I was worried it was "Thrush" but my doctor said they wasn't.

Thanks

Hello Dave

The spots are obviously not a cancer owing to their duration; they could be enlarged minor salivary or sebaceous glands. You couls ask your doctor for a referral to an Oral & Maxillfacial Unit of your local district hospital or the Oral Medicine dept of a dental school for an opinion.

Best wishes

I went to my doctor and he said they was nothing to worry about but never told me what they was....

But lately while I checked to see if they had gone I noticed so many small white like patches in the back of my throat, any idea what they are?
