Hello there,
Read a few other posts on here with similar issue but not quite the same so thought I would start a new post. Basically this occured around 3 years ago after a night out on the town. I assumed I had probably just bit my lip without thinking about it and not noticed. After a few days it got much smaller, but it never actually went away. Basically it is a hard lump, definately filled not with fluid and it's not really a different colour. Just to look at it the lump isn't that noticable but if you actually feel it the lump does feel bigger like part of it is inside the lip where it's not visble. I can kind of move it about with my toungue too and there is no pain at all. Although I very occasionally end up biting it when eating when can make it bleed. Never really thought much of it.... should I really be concerned over this considering how long its been ? Oh and I'm 23 if that makes any odds. |

Hi Smithy
It is probably scar tissue or a minor salivary gland in the lip that you have now become aware of. Ask your dentist about it at your next visit. Let us know what he says.
