Hi there

I'm really scared at he moment as I searched google and found out i have many signs of oral cancer. I have a painless lump above a severely rotten molar tooth ( am i very scared of dentists so I have been putting off seeing one for about 7 years), a sensation of a lump in my throat and my saliva is thick and at the back of my throat and mouth i have white patches. Today i have started to get a bad migraine but apart from that I feel very healthy.

I'm a 27 year old female and i smoke

I am planning on going to the doctors in the next few days but i'm very scared, can anyone help me out

thanks

Hi there. With a bit of luck, you're jumping to conclusions. The internet is a great supply of information - but only a professional person will be able to really help you diagnose properly.

I suggest that your best course of action is to promptly make an appointment to see your doctor and maybe your dentist to.

Good luck - I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that it's nothing serious

Cheers - Pete

Hello anon

I think you see your dentist as it is most likely the swelling is related to a chronic infection from the tooth. Let us know how you get on.
