| small reoccuring bump on roof of mouth

hello all,
I am a 28 year old male, 1/2pack a day smoker and i have the occasional drink. About five monthes ago i noticed a small bump about the size of a bb on the left middle side of the roof of my mouth. I usually scatch it with my fingernail, it goes away, seeming to leave a little scar tissue and then returns. I have an appointment with my dentist in two days for a filling and i want to bring it to his attention. They didnt notice anything when they did their initial assesment during my check-up. Am i just being a hypercondriac? This is consuming me. |

If it comes and goes, it might be a chronic infection (from a tooth?) that builds up to swelling that discharges and settles when scratched. You are seeing your dentist in two days so please ask about it.
