Can anyone give me some advise, Im worried because I have a couple of small lumps on my upper gum/ jawline.
My story so far is I had some swelling under my top denture that kept coming ang going, I ignored it for as long as possible ( stupid I know )
Anyway I went to the dentist, the first thing he done was re shaped my denture and took an xray, he could see nothing on the xray and the swelling and pain went when the pressure was relieved. One week later I still have these little lumps so the Dentist sent me for a full jaw xray, he's now looked at this and says that even though he can't see anything specific one side of my jaw looks different to the other so he's getting a second opinion, in the meantime I am left worrying, he's made me an appointment for 20th May but may call me sooner.
Anyone......any thoughts please, I'm trying to not to worry but I'm scared.

Look at least your dentist is doing the right thing and getting advice - if you don;t think it's right you can ask to be seen at your local hospital by a dental specialist. It is probably nothing - the result of chafing by youir dentures - but if it is it is best to know and get it treated quickly. Yes it is scarey but better lnowing and getting treatment than not and letting it get worse - believe me I know - it was a long time before I was referred - far too long as it turned out.
