Lumps on Tongue

Hi

I have noticed a lump on the side of my tongue 2-3 weeks ago , it was painful so I went to the doctor he examined and said it will go away in next few days. It went away after few days , but in between I noticed Lump at the end of my tongue on the left side which is not easily visible ( but I did manage to see a pea size lump ) and 3 days ago now on top of the right side of my tongue there is another one.

It can be nothing but It can be something really serious .

I have searched it on internet 2 days ago and couldn't sleep from last 2 nights thinking that it can be a cancer , as it is like 2 weeks its not going infact as I mentioned I found another on the right side at the end of my tongue . I am so worried .

I have never smoke or drink .

Hiya!
Best advice is to go back to your doctor. If you're still not happy ask for a referral to a specialist. Another idea would be to see your dentist, if they have any expertise in oral cancer. Chances are it's nothing, but you need to find out to put your mind at ease. I would recommend avoiding the internet untill you find out more. It can have you 'dead and buried' with a runny nose if you're not careful!
Good luck.
Vicky

Hi!

Please take Vicky's advice--no internet diagnosing at the moment. Use it for its original intent: gambling and salacious pictures of washed-up celebrities.

Please do go back to the doctor, you might even want to see a different doctor in the same office.

Good luck, and let us know how it turns out.

Julia

Double ditto to Vicky and Julia's advice. Let us know what happens.

Julia,

We all know that the internet was invented for porn and kittens! Sheesh....

hello All

I went to see my dentist yesterday , he examined that and informed me that i have nflamed taste buds on the tongue and that appeared as a lump and also assured me that i dont have any risk of mouth cancer. He asked me to come in 2 weeks time again for examination. since i had pain in my throat one side as well so my GP has refered me to ENT specialist .

many thanks for your help . I hope it will be okie after 2 weeks : )

Yay! Those inflamed tastebuds can be very painful. I had one a couple of years ago and all I could think was "oh, ****, it's back!"

For your ENT appointment, take a list of any and all questions you might have--it's astonishing what you can forget. You might even want to have someone go with you.

yea actually they are very painful and then a cut on side of the tongue .. anyways still its not going but em using bonjela to reduce the inflammation as i am being told by the dentist.

Definitely i have started making a list now Razzer but actually its only one problem that i spotted small little lumps on the roof of the mouth but can be something else.

these things are not going that what actually is worried me but will see the doctor as i finally had an appointment from ENT consultant In mid of May .

LET'S cross the fingers and hope for the best
