Lump on lower right gum

Hi,

I have a lump on the bottom right of my gum, i've just looked at it in the miror and whilst it's not that large, it's been there for a while and it came along about a week - 2 weeks ago when I had a lot of pain in my teeth and I started having to brush/mouthwash about 3-4 times a day to kep the pain away. I'm not registered on a dentist, but I think i am going to sign up to one tomorrow. It does hurt a little when I touch it and stuff like that. I can feel it on the inside of my cheek. I used to smoke but have quit. and I do drink. The lump isnt that hard, but it is set in its position. Ie it wont 'move around my mouth so to speak'

Hello Hakkera

It is probably not a cancer but an infection. So please get to see a dentist right away. Stopping smoking is on of the best things you have done to improve your health. With alcohol, stick to the odd glass or none. The commonsense logic is to not abuse the body.

Do let us know how you get on.

Best wishes
