Strange lumpGo ![]() | New ![]() | Find ![]() | Notify ![]() | Tools ![]() | Reply ![]()
I have a strange lump which has formed inside the floor of my mouth. If i look in the mirror it is hard to see it, but if i push down on the floor of my mouth, i can see a small round lump against my inner gum. The lump is very smooth, and feels like a grain of rice stuck under the skin. Sometimes the lump is rock hard, and other times it is soft. It is about 5mm in size. I can also move it around under the skin with my tounge, and can grab it between my fingers. So, i guess my question is, does anyone have any idea what this might be? I have a dentist app booked for two weeks time. Thanks in advance!

Hello Dave It is difficult to make a diagnosis over the Internet. Suffice to say that you don't seem to be describing a mouth cancer. You have arranged to see your dentist in two weeks and he should be able to tell you what the lump is. Meanwhile try not to get focussed on it. Do let us know how you get on.
