red bump outgrowth on posterior left side of my tongue.Go ![]() | New ![]() | Find ![]() | Notify ![]() | Tools ![]() | Reply ![]()
Past couple days, I noticed pain in back of my throat. I though it was just a sore throat that would go away. Today when I pulled my tongue out, it was a redish outgrowth of a that looks like a small finger about 0.5cm long on the back side of my tongue. The bump hurts a little when I move my tongue. Ive noticed redish color around the area about 5mm wide maybe. not that big. I don't smoke or drink. Been having diarrhae past 3 years, on/off. Is it HPV, because I do believe I have that. Could it be tumor cancer? cranker sore? infection? please inform me with some thoughts and concerns. Thank you! This message has been edited. Last edited by: anthony001,

Hello anthony It is not possible to make a diagnosis over the Internet. The 'bump' shown is unlikely to be related to your sore throat especially if it is not sore and is soft; it could be normal anatomy. Please see your dentist for a proper diagnosis. Let us know how you get on. Best wishes Vinod Disclaimer: Please see your own dentist/doctor for a proper diagnosis as my words should not, in any circumstances, be taken as dental/medical advice.
