hi dr vinod
i was told the other night that mum has to go back to theatre to reduce the swelling in her tongue what do they mean by this i always thought you tongue was all muscle i know your tongue has all the taste buds and thing how will they do this at the moment her tongue stick out she can put it in but when she does it fills her whole mouth it is too big for her to keep in the mouth

Sometime the replacement (repair) tissue put in is more than needed or too thick, so it is reduced.
