White spot on upper gum
 Login/Join
Posted
Hi

for years now i have had this spot on my upper gum above the second premolar, it looks like a small whitehead it isnt getting any bigger nor does it hurt in anyway.

i have heard about Gingival fibrous nodules could it be one of them?

i am 22 and have never smoked. i will tell my dentist next month when im due a check up.
can Anyone else shed some light on what it could be?

thanks

Hello Ruud

Your post got lost amongst other matters. Sorry.

It is not possible to make a diagnosis over the Internet so you need to see your dentist or doctor for that. If the spot is not getting bigger and is not hurting and is not ulcerated, it is probably not a mouth cancer and you could wait until you see your dentist this month. If any of these things are noticed as happening, get to your dentist asap!

Hope that helps. Let us knw how you get on..... and now smile Smiler.

Best wishes
Vinod Coffee

I think you just need to simply ask - then ask again SmilerSmiler say "hey, have you seen this before?" "Hey, do you know what this is?" "How long have you known about it?" "What should I watch for?" and then research and follow up with what they say...... Smiler

Hi guys

i went for my check up today and told him about the spot on my upper gum and he said its just the jawline bone or something like that, so its nothing to worry about.
He also showed me on a model which part of the bone it was showing though.
