I have had this lump for some time but never thought anything of it. It is hard and at the roof of my mouth. it just started bothering me recently and I am now having slight pain in my ear. and have to keep clearing my throat. I went to the Dr. and he said that it doesnt look cancerous. He has made an appointment for me to see a specialist.. Kind of worried???

It is only natural that you would be feeling worried and apprehensive. The consideration that you may have a cancer is enough to rock anyone. At least you are taking steps that will either put your mind at rest or get the ball rolling to get things sorted.
When is your appt with the specialist? You're on track but if you are feeling particularly interested contact the specialists rooms and tell them how you're feeling and ask if you can be put in earlier if possible. Don't sit back and twiddle your thumbs,be pro-active in getting to the bottom of your problem.
