| Hello wckdtrix It is a bit early to worry about a mouth cancer, I think. The likeliest cause for a swelling in the lower lip is trauma (e.g. subconscious biting of the lip, among other things). Sometimes, an allergy can cause it. See your doctor about it if it doesn't improve (or gets worse) in the next 5–7 days. Let us know how you get on. Best wishes Vinod
