I wrote in the other day and I have a couple more questions. What causes them to become enlarged? What are some treatments that other people have tried to shrink them back to normal size? I have been taking Probiotics for about a week because someone said they would work. I would appriciate any info on the subject.

In case you missed my earlier post :

Hello Jason

I don't think anyone knows much about the workings of Circumvallate_papillae and why they enlarge. This dicussion on enlarged circumvallate papillae has made me realise that that it is a problem that needs an answer. If anyone finds a way of getting enlarged circumavallate papillae to shrink, please let us all know.

Best wishes
Vinod Coffee
