Hello Shelley, Paul, Blitzbob and all My colleagues and I see patients with mouth cancers daily. We try our best to help. We may know our science and be able to tell you what needs doing. But no one has really told us how they would like us to treat them. Could you tell me, from your own experiences, what advice you would give to your doctors with regard to (1) the initial appointment for investigations, (2) breaking the news about cancer, and (3) the treatments. Some times a cancer recurs. Hi Doctor only to pleased to help my dentist reffered me as I said and I honestly did not expect the diagnoses unlike someone who has found a lump the way I was told is awful you will need and operation I said hold on what for if you dont have it you could be deadin seix months there was no waI would have been dead as the mark had been there for six months at least without any trouble and no increase in size I was asked to come in the next day as he had a slot on the thursday. I would like to have had time to think about it to research what was the cancer and the history of it based on what i have found since I would have elected not to have had ant treatment because it was slow growing no problem no discomfort and as i was older it would not have grown so quickly if it had grown at all as i understanmd 40 of lesions become full blown cancer perhaps good doctor with your extensive experience you could tell me whether this is right. tell me doctor whatnwould you as a doctor said to someone like me | ||||
