Blisters behind tonsils

Hello, about a month or so ago I noticed some blisters exactly behind my left tonsil, which has all my life been enlarged (only one). They were small about 2-3mm , look exactly like a blister from a burn, but are shaped like a little sac. I had 3 or 4 of them. I went to my family doctor and he said they were nothing to worry about. After that every now and then I sense an awful taste on my throat as if they burst. They are clear, skin color and looks like there's a clear liquid in them. Now after a month they are becoming larger (they are maybe 4 mm) and I can almost feel them when I swallow and I can taste that awful taste almost daily. I have no fever or pain. There are no other spots anywhere else in my mouth or tongue and I have no other symptoms - except that I snore - have snored all my life and it is getting worse as I age (I'm 47)

Could this be cancer? Thanks.

Hello caqui

It is not possible to make a diagnosis over the Internet. Please ask your doctor to refer you to an ENT (throat) specialist for a proper opinion. You might be describing tonsil stones in tonsil crypts. Let us know what you find out.

Best wishes

Thank you, I understand that, I was just going with my initial consultation that said "it's normal" - the blisters looked then the same way they look today, they are only a bit larger now, and probably bursting. I was curious to know if this description of blister could be anything close to mouth cancer - or throat, or anywhere else back there.

Thanks
