I had a very rough cold last week, and now I thought the sore throat had continued, but it seems that what I was mistaken for the sore throat cont. was actually this painful pea sized, hard "bump" on the roof of my mouth, right in the soft skin. It does not seem to have any color changes, although with the picture it looks like it is slightly yellow?

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. I have an appointment for Friday to go see the doctor. It worries me as the bump is hard, non moving and feels like a frozen pea, or bb under the skin...

It is not possible to make a diagnosis over the Internet. It might be a vesicle caused by a viral infection or a minor salivary gland swelling up. It should resolve within two weeks. If not or if it gets bigger apidly, please see your dentist or doctor. Do let us know how you get on.
