I am hoping someone can put my mind at rest.

Dad had his SCC removed from his tongue about 4/5 weeks ago. The doc curt about 25% of the tongue side away.

He is recovering well and can eat normally (and alsmost speak normally) but every day or so his tongue swells up, his speach goes and it gets sore.

Dad is sure he is catching the newly exposed flesh on his teeth so it is just a part of the healing process.

I am probably worrying over nothing but I thought I would ask.

He has a hospital check up in a week or so so will ask them then.
