Jackie, Hello, welcome to the site. I am shocked that he didn't send you to a doctor to have this checked out. You need to make a appt. to see a ENT, Ears, Nose and Throat doctor. It could be a number of things that is causing this, before you get all upset and scared tho, make a appt. or have him to refer you to a doctor. Keep us posted on how you are doing. You are part of the family now, tho I pray that it isn't anything like what the doctor mentioned to you....Always, Vicki Lynn

Hello Jackie
It was not very nice of your dentist to worry you like that :banghead: ! Your dentist was probably trying to impress you by letting you know that he was aware of the need to examine your mouth for cancer If he was concerned , he would have fast-track referred you to the local Maxillofacial or ENT specialists. So it appears that he didn't think it was a mouth cancer. The description you give doesn't fit with a mouth cancer but you should see your GP about your throat problem and get referred for a specialist opinion if it is not improving. Hope that helps ease your worry.
