ive got a hard lump on the roof of my mouth to the left near the back, it hurts when i press it with my finger but doesnt uhrt when i eat or anythin. i had it near xmas and it went and now its come back, wot is it??

forgot to say, im 25 and dont smoke

oh and its under the skin not a growth on top of my skin, its as hard as bone, but not always been there

it has actually stopped hurtin now, the lump is still there tho????

Please take Dr Joshi's advice and have your dentist or doctor check out this lump--the internet is wonderful for a lot of things, but diagnosis isn't one of them.

You mentioned that it hurts if you press it with your finger. Well, in the words of the sage, "if it hurts when you do that, don't do that."

I actually have the same exact thing! A large hard lump on the roof of my mouth, at the very back on the right side. I'm 33 and have never smoked either. The bump hurt horribly for 2 days, and then after taking antibiotics, the pain went away but the bump is still there - about the size of a marble. It might have been there for a long long time, I have no idea. I'm so worried. What did yours end up being?? I had a biopsy on Friday and find out the results today.
