Hello,
Two days ago I discovered a painful lump(pea-sized) in the middle of my tongue. There is no visable lesion, but I can feel the lump. The lump has gotten bigger and more tender overnight. I was treated for stageII breast cancer with 5 positive lymph nodes three years ago. While I don't think this is related to the bc, I tend to be a little """cancer shy!""" Any ideas what this could be? Thanks! |

Hi bcsur5er
Breast cancer cells, although they can go anywhere, seem especially drawn to the liver, lungs, and bones. Breast cancer doesn't normally spread to the tongue. So, what is this painful 2-day old lump (pea-sized) in the middle of your tongue? I would be guessing! Best course is to see your doctor if it keeps getting bigger or doesn't 'go away'. Best wishes Vinod :coffee: Disclaimer: Please see your own dentist/doctor for a proper diagnosis as my words should not, in any circumstances, be taken as dental/medical advice. Thank you. I'll contact my oncologist if it doesn't go away soon or if it gets any bigger. I had an aunt that died from breast cancer and an aunt that died from tongue cancer so I have a tendancy to worry a little more than normal!
