Many thanks to everyone who replied to my previous post regarding white patches and lesions in my mouth. despite re visitng my doctor and her being promised that i would be "fast tracked" for appointment....i did not get an earlier appointment. I had my biopsy two weeks ago....and I just have to say that it was the most horrendous thing I have ever been through ! However, a few days of pain was worth it to finally get the results today. The problem I have is infact Lichen Planus...something i had never heard of ...but it isnt cancer ! I have now read up on it and it says that in some instances a cancer may develope...but for now I am fine. I had photos taken of the affected areas and have to return in six months time to ensure no changes have occurred. I just wanted to say how very helpful I found your site.....and would like to wish everyone affected by cancer, in whatever way....all the very best....
