white spot on taste bud

Sorry about having so many questions, but this seems to be the ONLY place on the internet that I can get a few answers. About 3 months ago I noticed a small white spot on the right side of my tongue, on the circumvallate pillae. I went to see an oral surgeon who said to didn't look serious, but we would wait six weeks and he would check it. My appointment was on Nov. 30. At that point it seemed to have disappeared. Well now it has returned. The same white dot...the same place. I was on a course of anibiotics recently for an infected tooth, but no other meds. Should I go back to the doctor? I'm pretty scared. Worried

Hello Beth

A tongue cancer does not play 'hide and seek', so stop worrying but you should see the oral surgeon to try and find out what it is.

Best wishes
