Hi Garoc Tempest, sorry to hear about your problems. The only way you can be sure what these symptoms are is by going to see your GP and Consultants. I am sorry to hear that you can't afford to go, suppose we are luckt in the UK as we get it free, (you can go private if you like but in the end only get the same standard of treatment). Surley there must be some form of state help if not I think it's a disgrace.
All the best keep us informed
Maurice

Garoc, maybe you should ask Dr Joshi about your problems, he may be able to give you some indication of what the cause maybe. Although, he will stress that you should go and get it looked at.
Cheers Maurice

Garoc, I agree with Maurice, there should be a clinic that is for those that have no insurance, there is in the USA an in the UK, one would think you have one there. Call the RED CROSS if you have to or the UNITED WAY, ask them questions about some type of program that you can get into. You musn't delay tho, time is of the importance here..First of all your eating has already been efected by it, you must eat to stay healthy to fight this, what it is. I urge you to go somewhere, Bless you, ALways, Vicki

Hi Garoc

It is difficult to say what it is that you are describing. It would hurt to swallow if you have an infection that is causing ulceration/rawness in the back of throat/uvula like when you get a sore throat when you catch a 'flu'. The lumps could be vesicles like that caused by a viral infection. Have a look at these oral ulcerations(pdf) especially page 23 and page 28.

Generally, you should get better within 2 weeks if it is a viral infection. If it doesn't, you MUST somehow, get it seen to. There must be some system of access to a doctor in Australia for those who can't afford medical care. Hope that helps.

Let us know how it turns out.

Best wishes
Vinod :coffee:

Hi all, just a note to say how lucky we are in the Uk as regards getting medical assistance when we need it. As Vivki says enven un the USA they have to have private insurance. I know we pay for it in a round-about way in our national insurance payments. However, when we require the National Health Service we get treatment second to none (as I can testify to Dr Joshi included, although I do think he gets some morbit pleasure with the brushing teeth regime he gave me), in fact our Health Service is the envy of the world.
Must go now teeth to brush
