Hello, I am waiting to have a biopsy of two things actually. First I had a small lump inside the lower lip which the general doctor felt was an inflamed gland. To me it felt like scar tissue. He did a surface biopsy which came back normal. I then went to the Maxillary Oral Dr. He is going to rebiopsy the scar tissue at a deeper level. What concerns me but doesn't seem to concern him is a small (maybe 2 by 4 mm) slightly red slightly indented area. As a previous cancer patient (thyroid) I am extremely paranoid about anything out of the ordinary. What should or should not concern me about a red spot inside my lip that has been present for 4 weeks? Thank you for oyur time, Maria

Hi Maria Any sore in your mouth can be a cause for concern, but especially if it's been there for 4 weeks and shows no signs of clearing up. It might not be anything serious, but please don't take that chance. Please let us know how this turns out. Julia Howdilly doodilly, survivorinos!

Thank you for your reply Julia. I will be reposting as my situation seems to be worse, and the red spot is not being addressed by my "doctors."
