Hello, About a week ago I had a cold that consisted mostly of a sore throat. As the cold started to go away, I noticed a lump in the upper backside of my mouth, almost where the throat begins. It hurt and kind of felt like food stuck in the back of my throat. The lump was about 1cm and the color around it was purple. The lump went away, but then another one came up in the roof of my mouth. This one's also about 1cm and within a purple patch. The cold seems to be gone for the most part except for the lump. I've had colds and sore throats my whole life and never experienced anything like this. I also don't smoke or use tobacco. Kinda worried here about what it could be!

It is not possible to offer you a diagnosis, so it is best to go and see your doctor or an ENT specialist for their opinion if the lump doesn't go away. I have no idea what it could be and so can't offer any other meaningful advice. Do let us know if you find out what it is.
