i need some assistance or advice on the soreness and cracking in the corners of my moiuth. I started radiation just a week ago and my mouth is obviously sore.

On occasion I still get this now and I find a few drops of liquid Nystatin (thrush medicine) directly on the corner mouth crack helpful.

My husband Ray has just completed 6 week course of radiotherapy,his mouth cracked at the corners and lips very dry he used vaseline.Which did help.

Some of my patients have found Gelclair helpful in dealing with the mouth ulcers and sore mouth caused by the radiotherapy. You could also try Biotene Oral Gel.

I had awful problems with Dry Mouth since completing treatment for base of tongue cancer in July 2010. Constant drinking, gels, sprays and synthetic saliva’ 24/7/ became unbearable. I found in the US a Colonel Richard Niemtzow who discovered, developed and still practices his Dry Mouth treatment in Maryland.USA.
