Lump on the tongue
 Login/Join
Posted
One of my Aunt in India, has developed a lump on her tongue, in the last few months. Initially she thought it is temperory, but it has become more hardened, and it has made it difficult for her to even talk or eat regular food.

She is around 41/42, Otherwise healthy, no significant medical conditions, never smoked, no drinking.

I have not seen her in years, so I don't know, how it looks like. But I am planning to talk to her husband to get more details.

Her father, who practiced homeopathy in the past is extremely against her getting a radiation therapy or surgery done/or even considered for, so they are not pursuing any treatment with the modern medicine.

They are treating her with homeopathy/Ayurvedic treatment to contain the tumour, since they fear any surgery/therapy may spread it even more through blood.

Can anyone advice, what this could be? Thank You

Hello Sunita

If homeopathy/Ayurvedic treatment could treat cancer, I am very sure the Indian physicians and surgeons would have readily offered it to their patients and the drug companies would be falling over one another in trying to patent the treatment.

Your aunt needs to see a head and neck cancer specialist for treatment if she is to have a reasonable chance. But I fear the decision may not be yours and you will have to 'let it be.'

Best wishes
