I got a scrip for Mucodyne, after taking for 2 days I now havea very runny nose and am sneezing, much like I have a bad cold. Is this an effect of the medication or did I just collect a cold at the doctors surgery? Should i stop taking Mucodyne?

Hello Jane
The Mucodyne increases secretion flow and could have the effect you describe. It is a question of whether the benefits of a moister mouth are worth it. I would suggest that you reduce the dose with the hope of getting the benefit and reducing the side-effects. Let us know how you get on.
