Hello everyone just a simple question for you. After surgery and radiotherapy how often do you think it is necessary to see your hygenist.Mine would like me as his best customer given half a chance. Hope everyones well ,regards

Hi, Judda. I'm not quite sure how often yours would like to see you, but I reckon a follow up every 3 months is good, to ensure the cavities are kept clean and plaque-free. Certainly every 6 months. But to be honest, I can't see it doing any harm being more often, if all they are doing is keeping your mouth clean! I have been told to be very sure that they understand not to use adrenalin injections or any other sort of product that will prevent normal blood-flow; but that may be because of my graft. YOu might want to check that with your doctor.
