Hi,
About 2 weeks ago I noticed a lump inside my bottom lip, it seems to be growing slowly. (Sometimes in the morning it appears smaller but then grows?) It's soft and movable and painless. It's scaring the hell out of me. Any idea what it is? |

Hello Teresa
A cancer in the lower lip usually presents as an ulcer. A soft lump in a lower lip is often an enlarged salivary gland related to chronic inflammation, or a salivary extravasation cyst perhaps caused by trauma (knock, lip-biting, etc). A biopsy can be done on the lower lip to remove it. Please see your dentist who can refer you to the local maxillofacial unit for investigation.
