Dear friends,

A year ago I registered in this forum, after a partial glossectomy due to a malignant invasive scamous tumor in the tongue. I have received your support, and I have spent many funny times with your humour, and sad times with some bad news.

On September 2, I celebrated a year of healthy life after the chirurgical intervention. The Federal University of Bahia, Brazil, had invited me to Salvador to deliver a conference, so I was happy to be alive, speaking (in Portuguese), and in such a wonderful city by the sea.

Back to Buenos Aires, I went to see my surgeon, who has found me OK. He ordered some routine chek ups.

So, I just want to share the good news wuth you, and to say a big THANK YOU for all that all of you have given me during this long year.

Hugs from Buenos Aires

Shoshana

Hi Shoshana

Felicidades! I'm glad that you got good news from the doctor. Long may that continue. Hope the speech went well. I've always wanted to learn Portuguese, but the only phrase I could memorize was "Eu deseo falar portuges do Brasil".

Enjoy the Spring!

Julia

Hi, Shoshana,

I wasn't at this forum for a long time (we have oncological forum in Russian too), and was so glad to read this your message.

I decided to write about my father too. Tomorrow will be one year from his operation - and all is OK too. He speaks well (relatively because of the problems with teeth), can eat and now my parents go to the country for some vacation.

Hope that you and my father and all who are at this forum will be OK in future too

With best wishes from Russia,
Tatiana

Hi Tatiana

I'm glad that your dad's doing well, and congrats on making it a year.

I wish I had a Cyrillic font on my computer, but then I've pretty much forgotten all of the Russian I learned.

Julia

Hi Julia and Tatiana,

Thanks, Julia, for your always present support! Tatiana, I remember your worries about your father, and I m happy he has overcome his operation! We should celebrate, even virtually!

Girls, ins t it curious that many women write in the place of their spouses, fathers, sons?

Im these days at a conference at Medellin, Colombia (in a computer without accents). Beautiful city, awful rainy weather. Oh, well, we cannot have it all, I suppose!
Hugs to you all
Shoshana
