Hello Adam (of Tennensee)
Tobacco chewing increases your risk of getting a mouth cancer, so learn the facts and stop risking your life. The treatment and quality of life after is not something to look forward to! You might find this Guide to Normal Oral Tissues of the Mouth to be of help in identifying what is normal. The lump in your tongue might be a normal feature but you will need to see your dentist or doctor for a diagnosis and confirmation. Let us know what they say. Best wishes Vinod Disclaimer: Please see your own dentist/doctor for a proper diagnosis as my words should not, in any circumstances, be taken as dental/medical advice. "If you see what is small as it sees itself, and accept what is weak for what strength it has, and use what is dim for the light it gives, then all will go well. This is called Acting Naturally."
