I have a small hole in my tonsil (it looks like a tooth pick poked the tonsil). It isn't inflamed and it isn't swollen. The hole doesn't look like an ulcer with the white middle and red helo and the tissue is very healthy in texture and color. The tonsil doesn't hurt but I am a little concerned. I saw an ENT about 6 months ago and everything was ok but the tooth pick size hole is something new. Should I make another visit or is this something normal?

Hi Al - Welcome to the foruum.

My standard answer it seems is "if you have something that worries you, go and see somebody who can advise you properly!"

Most of us are not qualified to diagnose, and of course, it's extremely difficult to do that anyway without seeing the problem in real life. Maybe you could rig up a web cam? Big Grin Seriously, though - go and see a professional!

Good Luck

Pete
