WORRIED! Found lump

Hello everyone,

I am a 33 year old guy who has been using snuff for about 5 years now. Last night I noticed a small lump on my lower lip right inside my lip. It is normal in color and hard. I could feel it by putting my index finger in my mouth and thumb on outside of the mouth. It does not hurt. Needless to say I am not dipping anymore. Any suggestions to ease my mind? Does this sound like a cacner symptom? thanks for the help.

Bill

Hello Bill

The lump is probably a minor salivary gland. If it doesn't increase in size or ulcerate, you have nothing to worry about.

Dipping is a risky business. See: PATIENT'S GUIDE > CHEWING TOBACCO

Hope that helps.

Best wishes
