I have had 3 caps on the front teeth of my mouth for 17 years. I had the caps replaced 2 years ago. Around thanksgiving a bump about an inch behind my front tooth formed. It was relatively soft and when I touched it, I could feel it in my front tooth. It wasn't terribly painful, just uncomfortable. It only felt that way when I touched it. If I touched it too much, it would almost throb all the way into my tooth. I concentrated on not touching it and it went almost all the way away. I think since there was the faintest raised area. Yesterday it came back. Does anyone have any idea what it may be? I have good hygiene and have no idea what would have caused it to come back.

Hello Gayle
Please see your dentist to have it investigated. You might have an infection from one of the teeth that has become non-vital following the 'trauma' of replacement of the caps done 2 years ago. Let us know how you get on. Best wishes Vinod Disclaimer: Please see your own dentist/doctor for a proper diagnosis as my words should not, in any circumstances, be taken as dental/medical advice.
