blood blisters on lower lip Dr Joshi or anyoneGo ![]() | New ![]() | Find ![]() | Notify ![]() | Tools ![]() | Reply ![]()
Hi there me again long time no speak I am 41/2 years post treatmebt now (Rad/Chemo/neck section etc) and all appears to be OK apart from the usual side effects. I have however noticed that I am getting a small blood blister appearing mainly in one spot on my lower inner lip, it bursts, heals up and then all is OK for maybe 6 weeks. Has anybody got any ideas, this is not painful and there are no lumps under the skin. Many thanks Phil

Hi Phil, That's a coincidence although I am only 14 months since treatment. I had a large one at the back of my mouth last week, woke up with blood in my mouth and over the duvet. Did not even know I had one until doctor examined my mouth. Scared me to be honest and it was such a relief when the doctor told me it was just a blood blister. I also have a couple of small marks on my head and face which sometimes bleed but they never heal. Radiotherapy? regards Ken Two Year Survivor
