after a mouth cancer in 2006, with surgery (ablation of half a jaw and palate)and radiation, I'm now nearly teethless on the upper jaw, have problems to eat correctly, and will certainly loose my last upper teeth quite quickly.
One surgeon proposed me to clean my upper jaw's bone on a first step, then take some of my arm's bone and vein and graft them on the jaw, then implant teeth. 3 operations, without beeing sure it would work.
Does some of you experiment such a restoration surgery? Did it work and is it long and/or painful? Any other solution to recover a decent chewing ability, and be able to smile aagain?
