So, I have what i thought was sore throat for a little over a week. IT really only hurt when i swallowed though. I finally looked at the back of my tongue and i have bump back there. It isn't any color, just the color of my tongue. It is lined up where my circumvalated papillas would be, but it is only the one that is a bump. Is this something to be concerned about? I plan on going to the dentist next week. If so, is this something he should know about?

I also wanted to add that sometimes it feels like something is stuck in my throat as well

The bump is probably normal tissue, as you think it might be, but do ask our dentist to have a look and teell you what it is. Do let us know how you get on.

My appt. got canceled this week for a family emergency. But i will be seeing him a week from Wed and will have him look. My throat does not hurt anymore and just once in a while i will feel the bump when i swallow. But it has not gone down in size. We will see what my dentist say next wed
