I noticed a growth on my uvula six months ago. It is of a flesh color with a vein running through it. It has never caused me pain, and has not changed appearance in this amount of time. My lymph nodes are not swelled and I do not have a sore throat. If this growth was cancer, would I not have other symptoms? Would it not have changed appearance? I was also pregnant during this time, would something have not showed up in my blood work? I also know that the Epstein-Barr can be a risk factor in throat cancer. I was infected with mono approximately eight years ago. Could this still be a factor? I have an appointment with an ENT next week, I would just like to have some kind of information to ease my wondering mind until then. Thank You.
