Hard lump on my gum

Hi over the last couple of days ive felt a small sensation on the side of my lower gum were my wisdom tooth was (it was removed yrs ago), today i felt were the sensation is and theres a lump there, its hard an causes no pain but i get the sensation that somethings there, has any body got an idea what it could be? as i cant get the dentist till hols over.

It is not possible to make a diagnosis over the Internet but it is most probably the retromolar pad that you are describing.
