hi there, id like to ask two things, firstly i have a pea size lump in my lower lip, that has been there for about three weeks, it doesn't hurt. You cant see the lump when you pull the lip down, but you can see a slightly blueish colour, very faint, its probably nothing, or a cyst, but my prob is i play the sax and its getting in the way, i dont play everyday just on weekends but its my job so i cant just not play! is there anything i can do, is there a way of getting rid! secondly i had a tontsillectomy in oct, well in jan i have my first cold and ended with a chest infection which then went into laryngitis, i had it for 5 weeks and the doc arranged for me to see a sepcialist as i could not speak at all, well it came back the same week i had the appointment, so i cancelled it, anywya i am a singer and perform on the weekends and i noticed that i am constantly clearing my throat, like theres fluid ther or something, anyway any ideas as to what it might be, or a way of getting rid, its not good for a singer to clear her throat al the time! ta xx

Hello Pidge Welcome to the site. It's a pity you didn't keep that appointment earlier this year as you must get it checked out. Make another appointment if only for peace of mind! We have another lady on this site who is a singer (Tracey) and I'm sure she would advise you to see your doctor too. It may be nothing but you will only worry until you know for a fact that it's nothing! Kind regards B x brendasob.blogspot.com/
