Hi everyone,
I posted a while back (end of May) about a tongue biopsy. Which turned out to be a cyst on my tongue near tonsill/lymph area. I am wondering if I should go back to the oral surgeon or not. I did my follow up appointment with him after the biopsy. All was healing well and got a clean bill of health. But now on the third week, I now have a raised """horn like""" scar? where the cyst was. I can feel it and I could NOT feel the cyst. It is driving me crazy. I also have dry mouth, and post nasal drip that I have never had before. I wake up coughing like crazy at 4:00 am for the past week. Do not have allergies that I am aware of. Also have a sensation of something stuck in my throat, aside from the """new""" horn. The horn is on the side of the tongue, where as the sensation of something being stuck, is in the middle of my throat. Maybe I am just paranoid? I wonder if this is the result of having the cyst removed? Should I just get used to it? Or perhaps these new things are a coincidence? Any suggestions or is this too bizzare of a complaint? Thank you again. Michelle |

Michelle, this is Vicki. Nice to hear from you again and welcome back. I beg of you not to put it off. It may be nothing but go and let him tell you this. I didn't wait and I got bad news, Please sweetheart you are too special of a person to put anything like this off. Do it for yourself and for me. Let me hear back from you too on how this turned out, until I will pray and have only great thoughts for you and yours, Always

Get it seen to. Get your maxfac surgeon to give you an all clear or sort out whatever it is that is causing the bother, then see your ENT about the postnasal drip. Better to be paranoid in these matters, I think.
