My husband Graham is undergoing treatment for tonsil cancer. His tonsil has been removed, he has had two cycles of chemo, and is due to start radiotherapy for six weeks starting 16th June. My question is four years ago he had a persistent lymph gland up on the same side, I obviously encouraged him to go to GP which he did. Three courses of antibiotics later they referred him to not ENT but Max Fax, fine by me I had worked with the surgeon before so I trusted him. Now for the question, Graham had FNA and biopsy of tongue and other suspicious lesions, CT scan etc (which the surgeon in his own words "had us worried) The results fantastically came back as clear?! No follow ups as during the interim he had been diagnosed with diabetes and the glands went down. Do you think this was in any way related to what we are facing now? I have asked consultants twice and they have said that if it was there four years ago the chances are Graham wouldn't be here now. It just seems such a coincidence don't you think? | |||

Hello muse Some questions will remain just questions as any answer would be mere speculation. Leaving this sheet blank is okay.
