I am very frustrated because my mom got diagnosed 6 weeks ago and treatment has not started. They just did the mask last week and say it takes time to make the plan. Is this normal or is it too slow. We are probably looking at two more weeks before treatment starts. All along teh cancer could be spreading. She has tongue cancer, stage 4.

The NHS Cancer target from date of referral to start of treatment is 62 days (9 weeks). Ideally, it should be asap but the logistics take time. Even for one who has the money (lots) or position (very high) for individual personal care, it would take about a week.
