Similar question to that of Sue Platt who has posted a question on the message board earlier today 5TH April 2005).
Eating very little, mainly liquid food. Only able to take a small sip of liquid, then need time for painful "gas" to come up "burp", before able to take another sip - hence cannot eat very much. Has anyone else had a similar problem and have they been able to find anything to aleviate it? |

Hello Ken...I remember during and after radiotherapy treatment having painful trapped gas. I took charcoal tablets chewed them thoroughly swallowed with a glass of water. You should give it a try, virtually immediate relief. Just remember to clean your teeth afterwards. I got quite a shock when I looked in the mirror to see completely black teeth. Forgot I was actually chewing "Charcoal".
Sue I have replied to you and Phil under Oesophageal Dilation. Take care Rosemary |

Hi Rosemary,
Thanks for the tip - have passed it on to Ken - he says he will ask if it is ok for him to use - he wants me to say thank you on his behalf. PS. he alo said can he take it with a drop of Malt whiskey? Keep well Regards, Alan & Janet Butt |

He might need lanzaparozole (xoton) which I had prescribed during radiotherapy and continue to take for the heartburn type after effects even now.
