Hello Jimmy I would suggest that you see your doctor and ask for a referral to the local maxillofacial surgeon in view of the fact it has been there for 4 months and not getting better. It may or may not be a mouth cancer but it is best to get it checked out for a proper diagnosis as soon as possible. See your doctor. Let us know how you get on. Best wishes Vinod

Hi- I am a tongue cancer survivor. My experience is beyond anything that you could imagine and I'm not going to tell you to scare you but PLEASE get yourself to an ears, nose & throat cancer doctor immediately. I live in Boston and they have great doctors. I'd be happy to assist but you need to get to a doctor right away. GOod luck

Jilly, I have had 5 operations and at this time they removed my tongue 27 months ago. I would be very happy to help you but tell me what I can do to help you. My story is long and I would not want to scare you any further than you are. Have you gotten to the doctors yet? That should be your first step. Where do you live? mspdc
